Okinawa Prefecture pioneered a hybrid format with the Okinawa Startup Festa Virtual, marking the first APAC startup conference to simultaneously host both virtual reality and physical components.
This unique event united startups and partners from four cities across Japan and Taiwan, providing a platform for them to present their innovative ideas in a virtual pitch setting.
Thanks to our expertise and adaptability, Startup Festa thrived even in these challenging times.
We were able to make the impossible happen during COVID-19. We broke away from the traditional format and decided to hold a virtual event. We were able to close the distance between colleagues around the world and experience something which fulfilled the needs of being together physically without any of the hassle.
Events have changed completely due to the Coronavirus disaster. However, the virtual event we held with everyone in the Asian ecosystem was wonderful because we had a social and collaborative experience that would otherwise never have been able to take place. I'm excited to think about future possibilities in the digital space.
